A Reflection of our Year Throughout 2023

A Reflection of our Year Throughout 2023

Most importantly we would like to begin by thanking all our clients and suppliers for your continued trust in our Team. This year has been one of our busiest to date. Throughout the year we have maintained our accreditations to the highest standard, increased our knowledge and experience, taken on new contracts across the country and even added new faces to our growing team.

This year, we have successfully retained many long-standing clients and national contracts, but also acquired 94 new clients, alongside completion of 400 new projects and 3 large public sector tenders. We have a vast scale of clients here at CPS, from Domestic to Commercial, Schools, Warehouses, Shops and Public Spaces. This year we continued to strengthen our relationship with Huws Gray. For our client Huws Gray Buildbase, we have installed Fire and Security Systems, provided upgrades and full modernisations of pre-existing systems to 103 sites across the UK, and our portfolio continues to grow. With this increased demand we have also expanded our team, welcoming new members in all our departments.

Due to our expansion and having been awarded new contracts we strongly focused on educating our team in all areas possible this year. Our Directors Brad and Richard completed an Emergency Lighting course, to further improve our bespoke design process. Our Business Development Manager, Ioan, and Contracts Manager, Kylie, completed an FD&A fundamental Fire design accreditation to assist with our bespoke Fire Alarm Designs. Celine, Business Support Manager and Kylie our Contracts Manager were both awarded the Chartered Management Institute Level 7 certificate, after completing a yearlong course through Bangor University. Many long-standing Engineers also attended a Wagner course where they were trained on aspirating systems, which we require for clients with specialised environments.

We are proud to have successfully completed 2 perfect NSI audits this year. This also reflects in the amazing round-the-clock work from our Alarm receiving Centre team. We have had many confirmed alarms on client’s sites and our 24/7 team has provided an excellent service reporting these to the Local Authorities and remaining professional whilst conversing with distressed individuals on the other end of line, always ensuring safety to all.

Not only do we continue to provide security to our clients, we also continue to provide support to those in need. At CPS our ethos is the foundation of our strong team and we will continue to support charities and causes to the best of our abilities. We hope that this is evident in the work we put out and transpires to everyone who connects with us as a company.

Let’s reflect on the amazing year we have had at CPS -

To start the year off strong we were the headline sponsor of the Brainwave charity ball.

The money raised on the evening supported children with disabilities reach their potential through specialist therapy programmes.

In February we sponsored "The Doddie Cup 555 Bike Ride" for the My Name'5 Doddie Foundation!

The Doddie Cup 555 is a relay ride from Principality Stadium, Cardiff to Murrayfield Stadium, Edinburgh. All the money raised went towards funding the research into a cure for MND.

We then entered spring with International Women’s Day, with an inspirational quote and a heartwarming tribute from our Managing Director, Karen Farrell.

“I’d like to set an example for all ambitious women and girls who have ever questioned their own abilities based on their gender. You can do incredible things! Women should wholly support each other throughout all their life journeys and strive to be a role model in the road to equality. We’re proud to have built a workplace where women and men both thrive, together.”

We continued to support local sports teams and sportsmen, providing clothing and support where needed.

How amazing do Colwyn Bay's under 14's Rugby Club look in their kit that we sponsored? Also pictured, Sion Yaxley (Pro Boxer, Celtic & IBO continental champion), who we continue to sponsor.

We also supported the Great Daffodil Appeal with Marie Curie.

our team headed to Broughton retail park to raise funds through the sale of daffodils to fund care, comfort and joy for even more people during these toughest of times.

In April we visited our project in Luton where our team were working hard for one of our large commercial clients.

We have now almost completed the process of installing an Intruder alarm and Fire alarm system in a 1.2 million square foot regional distribution centre. The Luton warehouse was the first of our client's distribution centres to feature automation. The automated storage tower is seventeen stories high, in comparison to the five stories in their usual warehouses.

Following our appointment as preferred supplier for the installation of the Security and Fire Systems at the Luton Distribution Centre, our Engineers undertook further compliance training.

On occasion our engineers are required to use scaffold towers and other high-level access equipment to undertake installation works within this larger premises. As part of our on-going commitment to promoting health & safety and in line with industry best practice, our engineers are provided with nationally recognised PASMA training ensuring that they are prepared, trained and safe using this equipment.

We also got to congratulate our Director Brad and his Wife Kelly on their wedding in July.

After a difficult previous year and leading into 2023, we finally got the all-clear for Brad and they could at last say “I do”. We are delighted to have Brad back with us in the office at CPS after the best day at their wedding.

To end the amazing year on a high note we focussed on aiding causes close to our hearts, as the festive season can be a very difficult time for many.

Our Team came together to raise money for Cancer Research UK by completing the “Walk 100 miles in October challenge” and raised over £5500 collectively. We also held a Macmillan Coffee Morning for our team on the world’s largest coffee morning. Following this we created Christmas hampers for families in need on behalf of Conwy Food Bank. These included a Christmas dinner, Christmas treats, Breakfast and presents for 2 families.
