Farrall’s Distribution: security case study
Securing Farrall’s Distribution — A Long-Standing Partnership
The Client
Farrall’s Distribution is a family-owned haulage and logistics business founded in 1956.
Operating a modern fleet of over 70 vehicles and 100 trailers, three BRC AA–accredited warehouses across the North West, and employing more than 120 people, Farrall’s has built a strong reputation for reliability, quality and continuous operation.
Our relationship began in 1994, when we were first asked to design a security system for the Farrall family home. That trust grew over time, and in 2015 our role expanded to cover multiple operational sites, marking the start of a long-standing partnership built on shared values and confidence in our service.

The Challenge
Farrall’s sites operate around the clock, with authorised staff, vehicles and deliveries moving continuously. Their key requirements included:
24/7 Site security
Preventing unauthorised access while supporting a busy logistics operation.
Life safety fire protection
Ensuring staff safety and safeguarding business premises.
Access management
Balancing operational flow with secure control of entry points.
Robust systems
Having systems robust enough for high-activity environments.
Our Solution
We delivered a fully integrated fire and security solution across Farrall’s sites, covering design, installation, maintenance and monitoring.
This included CCTV for site surveillance and evidential recording, intruder alarms to protect assets and facilities, life safety fire alarm systems, and access control and barriers to manage authorised entry and vehicle movement.
Each system was customised to Farrall’s operational workflows, ensuring security supported – rather than slowed – day-to-day logistics. Installations were carefully planned to minimise disruption and maintain continuity across 24/7 operations.
