clogau gold: security case study
Strengthening Security for Clogau Gold
The Client
Clogau Gold is a luxury jewellery brand based in North Wales, known for its heritage, craftsmanship and high-value collections. With a growing retail estate and a reputation built on customer experience, security plays a critical role in protecting both their people and their products. We became their preferred security partner in 2008 and continue to support their store estate today.

The Challenge
Clogau needed security that matched the reality of jewellery retail: high risk, high value – and high expectations. Their key requirements included:
A personalised system design
Discreet alarms, CCTV and fire detection that provide peace of mind without disruption.
Remote monitoring
Continuous oversight of all stores, with real time alerts and 24-hour monitoring to protect high-value stock even when sites were unoccupied.
Fire safety
A reliable fire alarm system that ensured early detection and rapid response in line with compliance requirements.
CCTV coverage
High quality CCTV to deter theft, monitor activity and provide evidential footage when required.
Access control
Controlled access to secure areas and stock rooms, ensuring only authorised personnel could enter sensitive spaces.
Break glass detection
Protection for storefront glazing to reduce the risk of forced entry.
Panic buttons
A compliant solution that reduced false alarms while ensuring staff could raise an alert quickly and safely.
Smoke Cloak
A non-toxic fog system that activated on alarm, reducing visibility within seconds and helping deter theft of high-value items.
Our Solution
We designed a fully integrated system tailored to each store layout and risk profile.
This included CCTV, intruder detection, fire alarms, access control, break-glass protection and compliant panic buttons – all connected to our in-house, NSI Gold accredited Alarm Receiving Centre.
Clogau’s teams receive live alerts and footage via mobile devices, giving full visibility at all times. Installations were carefully planned to minimise disruption and preserve the look and feel of each store.
