Sentinel Plus*
Sentinel Plus is a large software system that allows our Alarm Receiving Centre to handle all aspects of alarm handling for our customers.
The software deals with data passed directly from the signal receivers. It then travels through a common alarm queue, and on to operators who are highly trained to take the appropriate action for each alarm generated. Comprehensive site and contact records are integrated within the alarm handling.
Our network is based on Client-Server architecture. This means that one computer, known as the server, holds all the data. The other computers read the data, handle alarms as necessary and send the details back to the server for updating. The machines that the operators use for screen display and alarm handling are known as client processors.
